Vet nurses offer free flea treatment / nail clipping for a good cause!

How would you like to take your dog along somewhere where he'll get free flea treatment and nail clipping from qualified vet nurses while supporting Dogs Trust and Cats Protection?

Well, if you're in the Stubbington and Gosport areas the week after next, you can!

Kirsty Temple and colleagues from the Alver Veterinary Group will be treating dogs with Prac-tic and dealing with that fiddly yet crucial nail-clipping task. By doing so, they're hoping to raise funds for animals seeking homes through discretionary donations from those that come along to take advantage of their services.

Here's where and when to find them:
  • Monday 19th July: Stubbington Surgery
  • Tuesday 20th July: Gosport Surgery
  • Wednesday 21st July: Stubbington Surgery
  • Thursday 22nd July: Gosport Surgery
Just check out the website, from which the image is taken, to find out more about the surgeries.

With this alternately hot and damp weather, fleas and ticks can be a real problem, so it's worth your while having the flea treatment done... and who wouldn't want to leave nail-trimming to someone else if they could?!

Like us, Cats Protection never puts a healthy animal down; we both rely only on the generosity of the public, not Government grants. I hope you're able to make the most of Kirsty and pals' generous offer and can offer a few pennies in return. Let us know if you go along!

What a brilliant thing to do. I wish someone in Glasgow were as generous. Good Luck with the fundraising.
