9 days to go before YOU could win £10,000 (while helping dogs and kids!)

On Sunday 6th September you could win a credit-crunch busting £10,000. And whether you win or not, you'll be helping dogs and children across the UK.

That Sunday the Great British Duck Race takes place, and Dogs Trust is taking part. Each duck you adopt costs just £2, half of which goes to Dogs Trust and the other half to the chosen main charity, the NSPCC. However, if you adopt enough ducks, we'll start getting the whole £2 from those later ducks.

If your duck wins the race, you're in line for a fabulous £10,000 prize. Thirty runners up get further prizes and if you adopt a duck now you'll be in time for August's prize draw, too. So far six lucky racers have been lucky enough to scoop a cash prize in the monthly prize draws.

Just £2.50 is enough to feed a dog in one of our centres for a week, so even by adopting one duck you'll be making a valued contribution to our work.

Good luck - I'll be egging my ducks on down the Thames!

Easter Ducks can help dogs in need AND win you money!

Chicks and rabbits have had it easy long enough. It's time for the great Easter duck! The Great British Easter Duck! Who's with me?!

Why, you ask? Well, because by adopting a Great British Duck Race duck as an Easter gift for yourself or a loved one you'll be putting yourself in the running to bag a cash prize of up to £10,000 and helping one or two charities close to your heart as well.

Yes, we've mentioned the charity ducks before. But they're very much worth mentioning again. I personally have adopted a couple of Dogs Trust ducks and look forward to the prize draw every month. The earlier you adopt, the more draws you'll be entered into. And the more that are adopted, the more we can help the thousands of dogs who come through our doors every year.

I challenge you, therefore, to beat my ducks to the finish line! Follow the links above to adopt a duck for just £2.

(My apologies to the GBDR for the liberties I've taken in Easter-fying their branding.)

Be in with a chance of winning up to £10,000 in the Great British Duck Race!

Oh, and you get to help Dogs Trust, too!

The Great British Duck Race is back, and you have the chance to adopt and race a duck for Dogs Trust. The winner of the race will also take home £10,000 with 30 great runner up prizes as well. You'd be forgiven for thinking it's fine to wait until closer to the race date, which is September 6th, but since there is a monthly prize draw taking place every month from now until then you'll give yourself more chances to win by adopting a duck early!

Best of all, your duck is re-entered for the draw automatically every month, so the earlier you adopt, the more chances you have to win.

You can adopt a duck, which will be raced against others down Molesey Lock, for just £2. Dogs Trust gets £1 with the NSPCC, which is the Duck Race's chosen main charity, getting the other half. So by entering you'll definitely be helping two charities as well as getting the chance to line your own pockets as well (no bad thing in this climate, I think you'll agree!).

Just head over to the Dogs Trust Duck Race page to adopt your duck, and good luck in the draws!
