Easy Fundraising, it's really THAT easy!

Ok, by a show of mouse clicks, how many of you plan to do some Christmas shopping online. I'd say that a fair few of us do this. In fact, I know we do! Eighty-five percent of all internet users are also internet shoppers, according to a May 2010 survey.

So, how can you continue to do your shopping AND raise funds for Dogs Trust as the same time for no extra cost to you? How, you ask? With Easy Fundraising!

Easy Fundraising provide a FREE service where you can shop with your favourite online stores and at no extra cost raise funds for any charity, good cause or group you choose to support. You still shop directly with each retailer as you would normally, but simply by using the links from the Easy Fundraising site first, each purchase you make will generate a cashback donation to the cause you wish to support. They explain:
"For example, spend £25 with WH Smith and 3.5% will be donated. You will have raised £0.88, at no extra cost to your purchase. Make any purchase from Amazon and 2.5% will be donated. Insure your car with Direct Line and raise £35.00, or purchase a mobile phone from O2 and earn £17.50, and so on."
The site is great because you can shop with 2000+ brand name retailers and to raise funds you just use the links from their site first - it's that simple! It just serves as a portal, so if you ALREADY shop online, why not help Dogs Trust at no extra cost from purchases you would make anyway.

Go on, at least check it out! I promise it won't exhaust you as much as that little guy in the photo!

Of course, if you're looking for Dogs Trust items from our cataloge you can see all those products online by going to http://www.dogstrustgifts.com/.

Oakfield Old Dogs Home need you!

The Oldies need your help! Oakfield Old Dogs Home is a unique building situated at our Roden Rehoming Centre.

Just like people older dogs are not as resilient as the younger generation and it can be a lot harder for them to bounce back. Older dogs can find it hard to adjust to kennel life after living in a family home.

Please DONATE ONLINE today!

Oakfield is a house like any other except for its residents. Up to 12 older dogs will live here and see out their old age and get the extra care and attention they need in a home environment. The dogs are free to wander round where they want, when they want and lovely carers always nearby; there really is no other place like it.

The old Oakfield has recently been refurbished and rebuilt as part of the overall rebuild of our Roden centre. And is due to reopen on November 15th 2010.

Oakfield is run like a normal house with all the fixtures and fittings of your own home. We have furnished the house with the basics but need a little extra help to buy the extra comforts an older dog enjoys.

We are looking to raise £2000 to help ensure these older dogs see out there days in comfort. Can you help?

Dogs Trust and Dragons' Den designer team up to launch Youdoodog

When Sarah Lu first brought the Youdoodoll to Dragons' Den and accepted an offer from Deborah Meaden, she might or might not have anticipated the success her customisable squidgy dolls brought her.

And what could be better than a Youdoodoll? A Youdoodog, of course!

Love it, pet it, take it for a walk, play with it or groom it... the Yoodoodog leaves classic toys like the Rubix Cub, Cabbage Patch dolls and Space Hopper gathering dust.

Exclusive to Dogs Trust, the Youdoodog goes on sale later this month costing just £19.99. It's the world's first ever make-your-own dog kit.

1. Choose a photo of your favourite furry friend.
2. Print it on the kit's transfer sheet.
3. Iron it onto the canvas creature to create your very own (perfectly trained) Youdoodog.

The ideal gift for someone who has everything - except, perhaps, a dog - the Youdoodog can be reserved from Dogs Trust by calling (01736) 336 999 or visiting www.dogstrustgifts.com. All profits from sales will be donated to Dogs Trust, and go on to help the thousands of dogs in our care live happy lives, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
