Can you give Darren the home he craves..?

Meet Darren an insomniac collie cross

Ten-year old Darren is desperately missing being in a home, so much so that when the lights go out at night he gets anxious and can’t get a good night’s sleep. While he settles during the day, he craves company at night, leaving him dog tired the following day.

Staff are confident that with the right care, time and patience Darren will adjust - he has become a firm favourite at the centre because of his gentle and loving nature.

Darren is seeking an experienced new owner who will take the time to understand him and be savvy enough to follow some behaviour guidelines to give him the direction he needs.

Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre Manager, Beverley Price says:

Darren is such a loveable lad – he has a kind face to match his heart. He’s been making great progress here at the centre, but hasn’t taken as well to kennel life so needs to overcome his separation anxiety in a caring home. We’ll offer guidance along the way as needed.

Beverley adds: “A home with another dog, or even several dogs so that he is not the centre of attention, would be ideal for Darren. With time and understanding, we think Darren will come on very well - from our experience, you certainly can teach an old dog new tricks!”

To find out more about Darren, or to offer this tired puppy a new home, please call Dogs Trust Bridgend directly on 01656 725 219 or visit the centre at Court Colman, Pen-y-Fai, Bridgend, CF31 4NG.
