Come and join us for a Waggy Walk!

On Sunday 3rd October, thousands of dog lovers and their furry friends will be walking around some great UK parks to raise money for Dogs Trust.

With walks taking place in Belfast, Coventry, Leeds, Merseyside, Stockton-on-Tees, Brighton, Glasgow, London, Salisbury and South Wales, there are plenty of choices to join in!

Taking part is easy, just visit www.waggywalks.org.uk to find out more information and to sign up. Entrants can choose to walk a 3 miles (5km) or 6 miles (10km) route, so there is a distance for all abilities.

Many of the sites may also be suitable for those with mobility difficulties. However, please check the details for each walk before completing the registration.

There is a £10 entry fee, but this is just to cover the organisation of the event and make sure everyone has a fantastic day. It also ensures that all of the sponsorship money raised goes to the care of the dogs.

Just £2.50 can feed one of the dogs in our care for a week, so by raising £130 you could be warm in the knowledge that you’ll be helping to feed a dog for a whole year!

Last year we raised £85,000 and would love to be able to top this, so please spread the word far and wide by getting your friends, family and colleagues to either join in or be kind enough to be a sponsor. You can view some of the photos from last year's events by clicking here http://www.flickr.com/photos/dogstrust/sets/72157622492264957/

If there’s not a walk near you, why not organise your very own waggy walk? Get your family and friends together, collect some sponsorship and walk 5km or 10km round your local park. Get in touch using the email below if you’re interested!
